Industry Shift
As most have become aware, a shift of unprecedented magnitude is occurring throughout the
health care industry. That shift relates to the transition towards the “self-paying” patients.
Whether a practice is pure cash practice, or insurance practice, a new type of financial system is
surely needed – a system which will proactively facilitate the ability of chiropractors to collect the
patient-portion-due. As aptly stated in a recent edition of Chiropractic Economics, “[Chiropractors]
must also put a system in place to collect payment from self-pay patients and to collect on
non-covered services.”¹
At the same time, it is imperative that this new type of financial system enable chiropractors to
achieve compliance in the process of estimating and discounting their fees.
We are now
inviting all chiropractic thought
